Charity of Choice - ALS

Charity of Choice - ALS

At our Miche Fest in London this past Sunday we renewed our commitment to the Childhood Cancer Canada Foundation and presented a ceremonial cheque for funds donated to date. Read what Kendra D. had to say on behalf of the Childhood Cancer Canada Foundation.

"From the entire CCCF team, we wanted to send our most sincere thanks to you and your team for your incredible fundraising this past year. Jessica and I were so honoured to be able to attend your conference in London yesterday – thank you again for inviting us. Your team of incredible women have worked so hard over the years to give back to the community and directly impact so many families who need their help by supporting Childhood Cancer Canada.

We get to see the direct impact that these funds have on our families, and we are so thankful for our incredible partners like you who give us the opportunity to continue to do the work we do. You have helped improve the lives of families across Canada who are coping with childhood cancer and we are so thankful for your commitment and generosity.

Again, thank you for your continued support and we look forward to working together for many years to come."

JoAnne's Story

For the month of September, I have donated all of my commissions to the ALS Walk here in Thunder Bay.

Last fall I reunited with someone very special to me. We had dated in the past and decided it was time for us to rekindle a love that has never gone away for either of us. Quite quickly I realized something was wrong, spending more and more time together I saw that my partner was dropping things. He had severe weakness I'm his arms and hands. He was trying to convince himself that it was carpal tunnel but in my heart I knew it was more. Long story shortened - he was diagnosed with ALS in December. There is no cure or relief from the disease. We continue to deal with new daily challenges. The ALS society is an amazing organization that helps patients and families to "Make Moments Matter" and to live their life's with ALS.

Thank you for sharing your story with us.

We are very touched by your loving account of your personal journey. Your friend is very lucky to have someone like you in his life. ALS is a horrible disease and I would be honoured to support the movement to eradicate it. I feel so deeply about this cause we will release a new Shell for the month of October specifically to raise awareness to this cause.

Our hearts and thoughts are with you. Kind regards,

Linda & the Miche team
